About Us
Monmouth Day Nursery was set up by Kane Gore in July 2016 who, for nine years, managed Mathern Day Nursery; a 48 place nursery based in Chepstow.
Manager Shannon Murphy worked at Mathern Day Nursery for three years. Both Shannon and Kane regularly complete further training courses to continuously improve the service they deliver.
Kane and Shannon work closely with outside professionals such as; health visitors, speech and language therapists, teacher advisors and the senior officer of additional learning needs for Monmouthshire. They feel it is important to meet the needs of all children; therefore gaining advice from other professionals helps to support all areas of a child's development, as well as supporting parents.

I would just like to say thank you to all the staff in MDN all my children have attended the nursery over the years and my two youngest since it changed over Marley and Danni have both blossomed and are thoroughly happy Marley is in yr 1 now and still loves to go to “Kane’s house” to pick Danni up as she loves to see all the workers Thank you everyone for keeping all our little ones safe.... this year has been extremely testing and difficult and you still manage to provide a star service

My son started a couple of weeks ago, and like all new mums I was apprehensive about putting him into nursery especially after this year and the lack of socialisation he has had but I’m so glad we made the decision to place him in MDN. He’s always laughing when I drop him off and all the staff I have encountered so far have been more than lovely (sorry I haven’t learnt all the names yet!) the ladies in the baby room have been so reassuring, making it easy to leave him for the day!

I was very apprehensive about putting my little girl in nursery given the current Covid situation, but MDN have all the precautions in place to help avoid transmission which put my mind at ease.
She has settled so well (i think on her second settling in day she went straight to Kelly and waved at me - almost like she was saying 'go on mum, i don't need you here! ' ) and she loves it there.
Communication is really good with the daily diary given in baby room and all the way home, she's repeating the baby room staff names and is genuinely excited when i tell her we're going to see them!
Thank you to all the girls and Kane for making it so easy to drop her off and knowing that she will be well cared for in a loving and homely environment!

Super friendly and helpful staff! Excellent facilities and very reasonably priced. My daughter started in the baby room through to toddlers and had no trouble settling at all. It's a lovely learning environment but still feels very homely. Highly recommend!

Like any new parent I was very apprehensive leaving my 17 months old son at nursery for the first time. However the staff at Monmouth day Nursery are brilliant and really take the time and effort to learn about each child and ensure they are happy. There is a lot of varied activities and the children play outside most days and have forest school. I love the fact that they have fresh cooked meal every day with attention to different cultures and they encourage the children to a variety of food. My son thoroughly loves his days at Monmouth Day Nursery! And I feel confident leaving him there. If I want to check on him I can text or call in. They are a wonderful bunch of people, enthusiastic and genuinely care about what they do. Amazing nursery. The staff are exceptional and have given our little ones such confidence and amazing social skills for their future. Couldn't recommend Monmouth Day Nursery enough!

We absolutely love Monmouth Day Nursery! We were really nervous about putting our daughter into part time day care, but she’s found a home from home at MDN. She’s built up a wonderful rapport with the superb baby room staff and I trust them explicitly to make the best decisions for her and to ensure she has a wonderful time. They’ve taken the time to really get to know her and her foibles and I don’t have a second thought in dropping her off. I can’t recommend them enough if you’re looking for a nursery with a family and a homely feel where your child will be valued and cared for no matter how much or how little time they spend there.

Best nursery locally. My 2 sons (1 and 3) love coming here every afternoon. Iv used other nurseries and this is the best by far. They are flexible, helpful and will cater to individual needs.
The girls in the baby room are amazing!! They give the babies as much love and attention as they would their own. Its hard leaving a baby with strangers but they make it so much easier, always smiling and willing to stick to your routines. I really can't thank them enough.
Pre-school room and toddlers- Scott and the other girls are so enthusiastic and always having fun. Days are filled with activities, they have helped me no end with potty training. So much patience, they are doing a great job!!
Kane the owner is always around if you need anything and very approachable. I would not send my boys anywhere else, I recommend this nursery to everyone Tommy will be very sad to leave next September for school

My boys Dylan and Owen have been coming here since August 2017 and they absolutely love it! My two year old has thrived since coming here. He's toilet trained, he knows all his numbers up to 10 and is moving on up to 20. He knows his colours. And his speech has come on leaps and bounds! Thank you all so much for your hard work!!

Outstanding nursery, with excellent, caring, friendly and dedicated staff, that are eager to help the children settle in comfortably, and give extra attention to those that need more support. Wide range of activities for the children, both indoors and outside, for educational growth. Picnics, walks and shopping for items needed to make, bake or grow, are on the agenda. Great healthy food menu. Highly recommend.
